“…the will to extend one’s self for the purpose of nurturing another’s spiritual growth”
- Bell Hooks, on the definition of love
Love, particularly as described here, is one of my core values. I strive to extend my authentic
self in my practice, and to center your emotional and spiritual growth in our work together. It’s
a good bet that no matter what you’re going through, your discomfort is because something
inside you that is trying hard to grow!

I know relationships can be particularly difficult. Whether it be family, friends, community, or
partners and lovers; I believe the quality of our relationships reflect the quality of
conversations. As a queer, polyamorous, and kink-identified therapist; I’m robustly sex-positive
and welcome clients of all intersections, communities, backgrounds, genders, and sexual
orientations.

My approach is multiculturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and quite eclectic. I use techniques
from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), existential psychotherapy, mindfulness, and
motivational interviewing… But more than any certain approach, I believe connection between
the two of us serves as the real catalyst for change. Together we can create a space of real
contact. A space where you are free from judgement, free from shame, and free to be your
authentic self. The content and texture of our sessions will be as unique as we are, and I am
here for you no matter what you are going through.

I originally moved to Chicago from Austin to pursue screen acting and comedy. That was 17
years ago and much has changed since then. Ultimately my path has led me devote myself to
this amazing and transformative work we call counseling… and I cannot wait for us to begin!
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my cat (Tony), running (no seriously), daily
meditation (or at least it try), yoga (hot please!), and role playing games (nerd alert).
