“The Flourishing Project was such a rewarding aspect of my internship. Not only did it allow time for me to connect with peers and supervisors, but it also provided a wealth of information on a wide variety of topics. These training sessions covered areas we weren’t able to get to in my program in more depth like DBT, LGBTQIA+, Kink, Poly, ACT, and much more! It was also a warm environment to ask questions and know that answers would always be provided in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner. Like many things, what you put in is what you will get out, so I highly recommend participating in these opportunities to the fullest extent!"

Being a part of FAC's training program feels like being spoiled.  In this program, I learned so much that wasn't taught to me in grad school and felt much better prepared for a variety of clients.  Put simply, you are not going to get this type of training at another internship site.  What FAC offers is special and one-of-a-kind, and they want to see their employees flourish just as much as their clients!  I cannot recommend their program enough to anyone who is looking for an opportunity to grow and round out their skills; you'll leave this program a much more confident and mature therapist than when you came in, that's for certain!

"My time in the Flourishing Project was incredibly valuable. Although it was Lauren’s and Tricia’s first iteration of the group, they provided knowledge and skills that I’ve since taken into my own work with clients. FP began during my last semester as an intern and lasted throughout my transition to a working LPC. I truly believe this was instrumental in not only consolidating my graduate work, but easing me into my role as a therapist through the insight I gained and the ability to get additional consultation on relevant cases. I highly recommend that any clinicians or interns take advantage of this training experience!"
