Welcome to The Flourishing Project
The Flourishing Project at Flourishing Affinity Counseling is a year long, tuition free training program dedicated to giving new therapists a unique training opportunity in order to expand their skill set and competence. Flourishing Affinity Counseling is looking to add clinical interns and fellows to our team for the 2024-2025 Cohort! Our internships and fellowships will grant budding therapist the opportunity to develop their clinical skills as well as enhance cultural competencies in working with the populations we serve.

Our program will consist of the following

Weekly 3 hour in-depth skills and trainings that go beyond typical university program curriculum

Our trainings will take a deeper look at trauma, couples counseling, working with kink, poly, ENM, and sex worker communities, sex therapy, DBT, ACT, and skills to help stuck clients.

Every other week group consultation and specialized training with entire FAC team.

Weekly 1:1 supervision
-
Opportunity to engage in individual, relationship, family, and group therapy opportunities in a private practice setting.

Requirements
-
Final year of masters counseling program or newly graduated. *please note we currently cannot accommodate MSW students* ​​
-
a strong desire to work with and learn more about the populations we serve: LGBTQIA+, kink, poly, ENM, and sex worker communities.

Must have a strong desire to learn sex therapy
-
Must operate from a sex positive lens
-
You must be available one weekend day of your choosing
-
You must be available Wednesday afternoons 11am-2pm for trainings.

You must be available every other Friday 11am-12:30pm team consultations
-
our program runs from August 1st 2024 - July 31st 2025.
